LEADER OF THE PACK - DOG BEHAVIOUR TRAINING / HOME-BOARDING / DOG WALKING
About Me

Having been animal-mad since the day I was born, I was highly disappointed that I could never persuade my family into getting a dog. I was also really sad when I learned as I grew older that we used to have a family farm that had been sold when I was small. (I so wish I could have grown up there!)

Why I began dog behaviour training? My mum at home on the farm with her favourite friend.

To compensate for the void of animals in my life I spent as much time as possible during my childhood & teen years looking after & exercising other people’s dogs & horses for them – where I could be in my element; as well as reading everything about dogs that I could get my hands on. (I was also very content with the fact that next-door’s Border Collie spent half her time in our house with me!)

Dog trainers inspiration. With my two dogs Charlie & Cassie. It was not until I eventually owned my own property, about 20 years ago, that I could finally become a dog-owner & feel complete. The pressing demands of the bills however still meant that I could not pursue a career with animals as I would have loved.

Now in my forties & determined to make a change, I have obtained my dog psychology qualification. Having also completed advanced training in Jan Fennell’s "Dog Listener" methods &, with the necessary veterinary endorsements of my practise, obtained Membership of the International Association of Canine Professionals, I am at long last able to work with the closest things to my heart – dogs & people!

Dog boarding with Leader of the Pack means your dog will get lots of love!
Every case is a new adventure & the reward of seeing a happy dog & an even happier owner as the improvements begin to take shape is the best feeling in the world.
Now I love my job!!
